AdventSource is a non-profit company organized as a part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. We provide resources for local church leaders in the North American Division and around the world. AdventSource is a member of the Church Resource Consortium and partners with other member organizations to develop, produce and market targeted leadership resources in a wide range of ministries.

Our resource consultants (who answer the phone and respond to your emails) have lots of real world experience as leaders in their own local church ministries.

• In 1982 the General Conference Youth Ministries department and Union College agreed to join in a partnership to provide Pathfinder Clubs with uniforms, manuals and the complete line of resources necessary to run a first class Pathfinder Club.
• North American Youth Ministries (now known as AdventSource) grew in 1985 when we purchased a Sabbath school felt business and expanded into the Sabbath school and vacation Bible school areas of ministry.
• It was necessary to change our name when the North American Division organized a Church Ministries Department as the umbrella for all ministries. Known as North American Division Church Ministries Distribution Center, we continued to add resources to broaden our scope of ministry to local church leaders including community service, disaster response and some adult Sabbath school materials.
• The Pacific Union Conference became a significant partner in resource development when we agreed to distribute and sell new resources they were researching and developing. Resources for small groups, hurting people, teens and worship were all part of the diverse resource line that we were distributing.
• Continued growth and increased resource listings led to an evaluation of our name. On September 1, 1996 we changed to AdventSource. This new visual identity focused our customers on the two areas of our mission that are most important. Advent, looking for the second coming of Jesus Christ and Source, the place to get resources for the local church.
