Description

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a special mission to preach the good news of salvation to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people (Revelation 14:6). In reaching people from various backgrounds, we are reminded that “lessons must be given in the language of humanity” (The Desire of Ages, p. 34). For this reason, the General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department has initiated the Reaching & Winning series of courses on world religions.

The objective of this course is to introduce ways of presenting the gospel and Advent message to secular people, meaning those who claim no religion and those with a post-modern outlook on life.

This course is designed to be taught in four classes. Each class is planned to be between one and a half and two hours in length, including small-group sessions. It may also be studied personally.

Reaching & Winning Secular People includes:

  • Who Are Secular People?
  • God’s Hand and Post-Modernism
  • Seventh-day Adventism and Post-Modernism
  • Methods of Reaching Secular People

This material will help Seventh-day Adventists understand secular people’s backgrounds and beliefs so they can be reached and taught the truth about Scripture and our Heavenly Father.

Paperback. 100 pages. Copyright 2010. Book size 8.5 x 11.
