Even the most mature Christian understands that the process of spiritual growth isn’t always an uneventful upward climb. Rather, it stops and starts. There are moments of profound insight, where we truly grow in Christ. We feel God moving on our heart and want to put down “signposts” to mark the moment.
The problem is, the story doesn’t end there. These incredibly satisfying experiences are almost inevitably followed by moments of stupidity, carelessness, and disappointment, when it feels as though we’ve lost whatever ground we gained earlier. And we feel a need to “reboot.”
In Reboot, author Matthew Gamble allows us to see—in vivid detail—the inner struggles attached to his walk with Jesus. Gamble writes about trusting entirely in Jesus, learning to pray, forming a habit of Bible study, learning to recover, real worship, and embracing the ministry God has for you.
