Day 1: Kids are reminded how God loves us by eating a green M&M. They receive a prayer box where they will write a prayer thanking God for accepting them and place it in their box. Every day they will get a chance to add a prayer to their box. Additional activity includes creating and decorating a prayer flag that describes how it feels when they are accepted by God and others.
Day 2: Kids are reminded about caring by eating a blue M&M. They will place in their prayer box a prayer that they have written for someone who needs healing. Additional activity includes writing the name of the person they are praying for on a popsicle stick and sharing why they are praying for them.
Day 3: Kids are reminded that they can always turn to Jesus no matter what’s going on by eating a yellow M&M. They will place in their prayer box a written prayer of how they want Jesus to be a part of their lives. Additional activity includes writing on a wristband how God is a part of their life.
Day 4: Kids are reminded about the importance of forgiving those who may have hurt them by eating a red M&M. They will write a prayer for something they want Jesus to help them forgive and put it in their prayer box. Additional activity includes creating a cootie catcher that talks about different aspects of forgiveness.
Day 5: Kids are reminded about how Jesus believes in us and helps us grow by eating a brown M&M. They will place in their prayer box a written prayer for how they want Jesus to help them grow. Additional activity includes writing on a paper leaf how Jesus can use them to help others grow.
