2017 Pastoral Evangelism and Leadership Council

Date & Location: December 3-6, 2017. Oakwood University Church, 5500 Adventist Boulevard NW, Huntsville, AL 35896.

Description: For nearly 40 years PELC has provided inspiration and continuing education for pastors and church leaders. It is the largest and longest running conference of its kind in the Adventist Church with over 1500 leaders in attendance. This conference is designed to provide world-class training for religious leaders. Workshops and plenaries are conducted during the day and community workshop services are held at night.

Hispanic Information: For those working in Hispanic Ministries, Spanish language programs will be offered throughout each day of this conference. Please select Spanish as your language option when you complete your registration so you will be included in these amazing seminars.

Boot Camps: The three Boot Camps run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. The cost to attend a Boot Camp is $20. All Boot Camps will run concurrently in three different buildings.

How to Fund the Mission: Like it or not, ministry rarely moves without money, and God has designed it so. Jesus talked more about treasure than prayer, heaven and hell - combined. Learn the principles of fund raising and stewardship that will resource the church's vision for urban ministry.

How to Plant and Grow New Churches: The Adventist Church has historically been a church planting movement. Recently there has been an explosion of interest in planting churches that will reach this generation. Come and learn what is working and what will work for you.
Presenter: Jose Cortes, Director of Evangelism, North American Division.

Social Justice and the Local Church: Social justice is one of the most talked about subjects in the church today. This workshop will explore how the local church can reflect kingdom principles through the important area of sociual justice. Learn from and network with local church leaders who are making a difference in their communities.
Presenters: Jaime Kowlessar and team.
