Mid-America Union Children's Ministries Convention 2020

Description: "Come To Me", the Mid-American Union Conference Children’s Ministries Convention is a life-changing experience for leaders of children. In-depth, hands on training through breakout options. Training for the new Seventh-day Adventist HEROES VBS curriculum; a resource center full of specific children's ministry resources; meaningful networking with leaders like you; dynamic worship and spiritual refreshment. Theme Rational: Come to Me, Mark 10:14, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God." 

Jesus had just finished teaching on marriage and divorce, when the gospel writer adds that individuals (mothers, father, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandparents) were bringing their children (little ones) to Jesus. The disciples started to forbid them and were sending them away, when Jesus got indignant and spoke our text.

Children are not blessed for what they 'are', but for what they lack. They are small, powerless, without sophistication, overlooked, dispossessed of society, no credits, no clout, no claims - absolutely nothing! However, Jesus for the first time in the gospel of Mark reveals who enters the Kingdom of God, individuals with childlike faith. We must 'come to Jesus' with childlike trust and dependence and accept the gift of grace given to us freely!

Who Should Attend: All children’s ministry leaders and staffers, children’s pastors, VBS leaders, VBS staff and volunteers, children’s Sabbath School superintendents, children’s Sabbath School teachers, parents and supporters of children’s ministries are invited to attend.

Refund Policy: No refunds will be granted for this event. Please substitute someone to attend in your place if you will not be able to participate in this event.

Meals: You will receive lunch on Sabbath with your paid registration fee. Please plan to take care of all other meals on your own.
