Adventist Colleges Abroad

Within the Seventh-day Adventist network of education, Adventist Colleges Abroad (ACA), established in 1962, assists students in acquiring language skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, a global outlook on life and a sense of mission to other peoples of the world through specifically
designed educational opportunities in international settings.

Because ACA is a consortium of Adventist colleges and universities in North America affiliated with international Adventists colleges, students receive the credits they earn through their own school at home. In addition, most loans and scholarships available on home campuses (including assistance for dependents of denominational employees) also are available for students in ACA programs.

Students take the grammar, composition, conversation, culture, civilization and literature courses necessary to complete minors and most major requirements in French, German and Spanish, or courses in Chinese (Mandarin), Italian, Portuguese, or Swahili. General education courses in art, music, physical education and religion are also available. In addition, students may choose from other courses available on the campus of enrollment.

Students who cannot spend a full academic year abroad may achieve a portion of the benefits of the experience by enrolling in ACA’s Summer Language Abroad program.
